This week in class we mainly focused on all of the different aspects that correlate with educational videos. I found this class to be very interesting and important, as I remember learning quite a bit from educational videos throughout my times in school.
I also believe that our world is constantly changing, and having a stronger online presence and knowledge of how to navigate technology could be very beneficial to us up and coming educators.

Michael brought up a very interesting point that closed captioning is a very important part of online educational videos as it helps the video to be accessible to those who are hearing impaired, learning English as a second language, and it can also help the student engage in more than just way. By targeting both visual and aural learning, the student has further engagement with the material and typically can relate to the material at a higher understanding.

We discussed the various ways that educational videos could be presented; such as, lecture recordings, screencasts, presentations, simulations, animations, and others.
