This week in class we reviewed the topic of copyright, what it means, and how to prevent using copyrighted material in our future classrooms or projects. In the attempt to avoid any misuse of material, we talked about utilizing the Creative Commons licensing and website to the best of our advantage. This licensing allows for people to retain copyright, while still being able to customize and decide how their work can be shared and or used by others. The Creative Commons website (https://creativecommons.org ) is a super advantageous tool that allows people to collect photos or other media to be used in their very own projects. It is extremely important that we are able to give appreciation and thanks to those who provide us with photographs, videos, lesson plans, etc on the internet, and Creative Commons allows those who wish to share their work for free to do as they please. As I reflect back on the class that we had earlier today, I am thoroughly thankful to have been able to learn about all of these tools that I can use in my future. Hopefully, I can eventually share these tools with my colleagues and students as well!
